Enjoy delectable appetizers, drinks, and live music at this exclusive event–while helping to keep the arts alive. A portion of the proceeds from your ticket purchase support the creation of new works by preeminent artists through the Northrop Centennial Commissions project.

Event Information

  • Gala Begins: 4:00 pm after the American Ballet Theatre Giselle performance
  • Tickets for the Gala are separate from tickets to the performance: Check the email you provided when you placed your order to locate your digital ticket. Be sure to check your spam or junk mail folders if you do not see them.

Where To Go

  • Encore Check-in: Check-in begins at 12:00 pm at the Ground floor east Box Office; please pick up your name tag. There will also be a Gala welcome table after the performance on the first floor west side near the Bistro. Your name tag will allow entry into the event.
  • Encore Wine Pull: The Wine Pull begins at 12:30 pm. To participate in the Wine Pull, purchase your “cork(s)” at the east side Box Office or the sales table on Level 1 in the Atrium; the corks will serve as your ticket to “pull” the wine bottle of your choice. Take home and enjoy!

  • The Gala and a short program will take place in the historic Northrop Memorial Hall lobby immediately following the performance. Those attending the Encore Gala should remain in their seats for a few minutes at the end of the performance to allow time for the rest of the audience to exit. Encore attendees will be directed out the West Orchestra exit where they will find the Gala welcome table located on the west end of the Atrium lobby.

FAQ about Encore Gala: Spring Cocktail Party

An exciting celebration of the performing arts and Northrop’s annual fundraiser of the year. Mingle and get your photo taken with dancers from American Ballet Theatre under the glittering chandeliers in Northrop’s Memorial Hall lobby. Enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live music, as well as a Wine Pull and photo opportunities. Proceeds from this event provide meaningful support for Northrop’s Dance Series and Centennial Commissions project that helps fund the creation of new work.

Encore tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office at 612-624-2345. Box Office Hours: Mon–Fri, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. Encore tickets are $55.

The performance and Gala are separate events, and you’ll need a ticket for each one. Attend both to experience a must-see performance, then get to know the artists at the Gala.

You can check in and receive your name tag prior to the performance at the ground floor east Box Office. Running late? There will also be a check-in table after the performance on the first floor, west side near the Bistro.

Once you purchase your ticket, a name tag will be waiting for you when you check in; your name tag will serve as your ticket for entry into the Cocktail Party.

Cocktail-party casual. Fairly laid back with a little flare! Try a deep color, bold pattern, or glitzy accessory to add a little pizazz to your outfit.

To participate in the Wine Pull, simply purchase your “cork(s)” at the east side Box Office or the sales table on the first level in the Atrium; the corks will serve as your ticket to “pull” the wine bottle of your choice. Take home and enjoy!

Get your photo taken with artists and dancers from the performance! The photo booth will be on the west Memorial Hall lobby's first floor and open throughout the party. The photographer will print your photo memento while you wait!
