To date, we provide registration services for all types of events across the UMN system including, but not limited to:
We use AudienceView Unlimited. Northrop is the business owner and service provider of the UMN’s instance of this online ticketing platform.
Yes! University Ticketing Services and its instance of AudienceView Unlimited is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
UMN departments that accept payment cards (credit or debit cards) as a form of payment for goods and services are contractually obligated to follow the PCI DSS. The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard developed and owned by major payment card companies that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design, and other critical protective measures. The standard comprises 12 requirements organized into six related groups or “control objectives” to protect cardholder data wherever it resides—ensuring that sensitive payment card information is handled safely and maintains a high information security standard.
A copy of the PCI DSS can be found on the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) website. More information about the University’s policies and procedures for payment card processing can be found on the UMN Controller’s website.
Yes! University Ticketing Services at Northrop’s instance and use of the AudienceView Unlimited ticketing system has gone through a UMN University Information Security Review of Vendor Product/Service and has been approved.

Yes; while we do receive some financial support from a University allocation, it does not completely cover the cost of the platform and infrastructure needed to provide services. User fees and credit card processing fees are charged to each department using University Ticketing Services and the AudienceView Unlimited ticketing platform through the UMN Enterprise Financial System.
Yes, the venue hosting your event may charge a facility fee to help cover maintenance costs for the upkeep and use of the building, repair and replacement of technical equipment, and soft goods in a theater setting, among others.
Our fees are based on comprehensive market research and an extensive analysis of local industry standards. These service rates for University departments are below market rates.
We have an exciting roadmap for numerous improvements and integrations to help your department reach its goals and meet your customers’ needs. Our team can share more details on request or see above for what we are currently exploring.
Yes, we provide ticketing services to organizations outside the UMN system for events held in University facilities. We do not currently offer ticketing services to organizations outside of the UMN system in non-University facilities.
