Ballet Hispánico Diálogos

Ballet Hispánico is the largest Latinx/Latine/Hispanic cultural organization in the United States and one of America’s Cultural Treasures. The company’s 50+ year history, and its commitment to community arts partnerships, create a platform that invites participants to formulate and express opinions about their social and cultural environment. Ballet Hispánico’s Diálogos (Dialogues) is a series devoted to examining issues centered on dance, race, and culture. This conversation includes Eduardo Vilaro, Ballet Hispánico’s Artistic Director & CEO, as well as BIPOC cultural leaders from the Twin Cities: Maija Garcia, Director of Education and Professional Training at Guthrie Theater; Maia Maiden, Director of Arts Learning and Community Engagement at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts; and Toni Pierce-Sands, Founder and Artistic Director of TU Dance Center. Fernando Rodriguez, Director of the University of Minnesota’s Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence, will moderate. Together these luminaries will discuss current issues at the intersection of arts, social justice, and community.
