The Tale of the Taken Tunes

Setting: Your house, 1999
Characters: You, Your Mother, Your Music
Scene: The Battle of the Beats

"TIMOTHY ROBERT EVAN JOHNSON... THAT'S IT! I'M TAKING AWAY YOUR MUSIC FOR A WEEK!"

"A whole week? But Mommmm!"

"No butts Timmy, now hand over the Cd's."

"awwwww man."

(Timothy angrily hands over his CD collection, stomps to his room, and slams his door shut.)

Remember that? It happened to all of us. They took away our music. Our Hanson, our 'N Sync, our Blink 182... gone. They had the power.

Not anymore.

Now the music is in our hands. Channel that 14 year-old, zitty, awkward, and cargo pant wearing tween inside of you and fight back for all the times you went to bed without your Blackstreet. Fight to keep Summer Concerts at Northrop!

If we don't take a stand, we will lose funding for the summer concert series that showcases the best local talent. Almost daily, the Northrop Plaza is filled with good music, good eats, and good times. But if we don't come together and speak out to save the summer, campus will be barren.
