Have you ever wished on the stars? I know I have. But have
you ever wished on the moon? Alison Scott has wished on the moon. After
listening to Alison's song "Wish on the Moon," I am dazzled. She has decided to
try a fresh new take to rise and face the day.

I think how far she has come is impressive. Alison was born
in Kansas City, and then moved with her family to Minneapolis. She has been
playing the piano since age five and when she was eleven she began taking vocal
lessons. During high school, she sang in choral groups and performed in musical
theater productions. Alison graduated from McNally Smith College of Music in
St. Paul MN. While she was studying at McNally Smith College she wrote a song
that she recorded in their auditorium just her playing the piano and one of the
teachers playing drums and one of his friends playing bass. The song was called
"Saturated" and it won first prize at the Women and Music Minnesota's first
annual songwriting contest. It was her big break because one of the judges from
the contest recognized her potential and contacted her about recording an
album. Her albums have been a variation of blues, jazz, pop, and rock.

From lessons, to choral groups, to albums, Alison has become
a young talent with good instincts. She has been compared to Nora Jones and
Alicia Keys. Her beautiful vocals are strong and her lyrics are passionate. She
is singing her own songs and she isn't pretending to be anybody else.

We are fortunate to have Alison Scott joining us at the
Northrop Plaza on Friday, July 16 at 7 PM. Come support the strongest new voice
to come out of the Minneapolis music scene in many years! After listening to
one song I wanted more. She will dazzle you and make you wish on the moon too!
