SSA’s widely recognized Somali Night is the closing show of our annual weeklong initiative, Somali Culture Week, dedicated to educating the University of Minnesota campus and the Twin Cities community about the rich Somali culture and heritage.
Somali Night aims to highlight the artistic talents within the Somali community by bringing singers, dancers, poets, actors, and fashion designers together to showcase the diverse talents within the community; all for a good cause!
We are excited to announce this year's Somali Night beneficiary is the American Relief Agency for the Horn of Africa (ARAHA) for a third year in a row! This year we are partnering with up with ARAHA to help in their efforts to aid people suffering from the famine that is currently happening in the Horn of Africa.
This year’s Somali Night is expected to be the biggest and most exciting one yet as SSA brings high powered cultural-fusion performances to the Twin Cities like never before. Don’t miss out on this spectacular event!
