Homecoming Parade | Important Driving & Parking Update

University Avenue between 11th Avenue SE and Oak Street will be closed for the 2024 Homecoming Parade on Fri, Oct 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This closure will impact access to University parking facilities.

Parking impacts

  • Northrop, Church Street, and Nolte Center Garages: Access will be impacted. It will not be possible to cross University Avenue during the parade.

  • Theater Doors Open: 7:30 pm
  • Performance Begins: 8:30 pm
  • Tickets: Check the email you provided when you placed your order to locate your digital ticket. Be sure to check your spam or junk mail folders if you do not see them.
  • All attendees must be at least 18 years of age or have a valid U Card to enter. Upon entry to the theater, patrons will be screened with handheld metal-detecting wands and bags will be checked.

About Marcello Hernández: 

Hernández is a Cuban-Dominican stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who can currently be seen as a featured player on the 48th season of Saturday Night Live. Performing stand-up since he was 18 years old, Hernández has toured all over the country and has opened for headliners such as Jo Koy, Dave Chappelle, Tim Dillon, Colin Jost, and Gilbert Gottfried, among others. A proud Miami native, Hernández in 2020 became the host and creative director for @onlyindade, a Miami-based account with over one million followers—through which he has interviewed top celebrities such as Pit Bull, Floyd Mayweather, Nicky Jam, Mayor Francis Suarez, and more. He has had 10+ appearances on Telemundo’s Acceso Total and NBC’s 6 in the Mix, and was selected as a Just For Laughs New Face of Comedy in 2022.
