Embrace China: Minnesota Gala celebrates the 40th anniversary of U.S.-China relations. The All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese will send a professional performing arts troupe to visit Minnesota and holds celebration performances for the first time. The members of the troupe include China’s well-known vocal artists and the performers from the China Acrobatic Troupe. This stunning extravaganza will enhance the jubilant holiday celebration atmosphere of local Minnesota Chinese community, and it will highlight the aspects of ethnicity and folklore nature found in the Chinese performing arts and will showcase the magnificent Chinese culture through a meticulous selection of breathtaking and award-winning Chinese acrobatics, vocal music, dance, traditional musical instrument performance, and other fine performances that best reflect its ancient and modern traditions, capture its vitality and strength of character. The organizers also wish to strengthen the cohesion of overseas Chinese communities, to promote Chinese culture across the globe, and to infuse some of its essence and vitality into mainstream Western society.
