The Creator of the Jungle

In the woods near the Catalan village of Argelaguer, a man, simply known as Garrell, has spent nearly half his life constructing and reconstructing a fantastical playground. Creating tree houses, mazes, swimming pools, and waterfalls, this compulsive project was initially a way for Garrell to embrace his child-like sense of play but then transforms into a set for a home movie adventure shot by a local teenager with Garrell in the lead role. Using footage that spans more than two decade, director Jordi Morató paints a portrait of a larger than life personality that you must see to believe.
