The Chatterbox

This is no ordinary ball pit. With a question on each ball, participants in CLA First Year Experience Program's Pop-Up Northrop event have the space to get to know a stranger on campus and not feel awkward about it. Some of the questions would include: “Who inspires you?” “What is on your bucket list?” or “What do you think is important to teach children?”

The Chatterbox invites UMN students, faculty, and staff to break down the barriers that we build around ourselves. Feel free to play like a kid again, share your ideas, and reflect. It is hard to imagine all of the different types of stories that will be told, but one thing is clear - we will learn more about ourselves and others and build community here at the U of M.

This event is part of Pop-Up Northrop: Igniting Big Ideas, a series of spontaneous pop-up events, building transformations, and social objects that together will launch Northrop’s innovative multidisciplinary programming in its revitalized facility.
