Expand your 10,000 Dreams experience—purchase a ticket to Northrop’s Encore Gala, an insider post-show cocktail party with the performers! Mingle under the chandeliers with artists and dancers from The Washington Ballet, BalletMet, and Oakland Ballet Company following their matinee performance on the Northrop Stage. Bid on silent auction items and enjoy sumptuous hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and live music. Proceeds from this fundraiser support the creation of new works by preeminent artists through the Northrop Centennial Commissions project.

- Encore Check-in: Check in begins at 12:00 pm atthe ground floor east Box Office. There will also be a Gala welcome table after the performance on the first floor west side near the Bistro. Your name tag will allow entry into the event.

- The Gala and a short program will take place in the historic Northrop Memorial Hall lobby immediately following the performance, and the silent auction will be in the Atrium lobby adjacent to the theater. Those attending the Encore Gala should remain in their seats for a few minutes at the end of the performance to allow time for the rest of the audience to exit. Encore attendees will be directed out the West Orchestra exit where they will find the Gala welcome table located on the west end of the Atrium lobby.

FAQ about Encore Gala: Spring Cocktail Party
An exciting celebration of the performing arts and Northrop’s annual fundraiser of the year. Mingle and get your photo taken with dancers from BalletMet, The Washington Ballet, and Oakland Ballet Company under the glittering chandeliers in Northrop’s Memorial Hall lobby. Enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live music, as well as a silent auction. Proceeds from this event provide meaningful support for Northrop’s Dance Series and Centennial Commissions project that helps fund the creation of new work.
Encore tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 612-624-2345. Box Office Hours: M-F 10am-5pm

The performance and Gala are separate events and you’ll need a ticket for each one. Attend both to experience a must-see performance, then get to know the artists at the Gala.
You can check-in and receive your name tag prior to the performance at the ground floor east Box Office. Running late? There will also be a check-in table after the performance on the first floor west side near the Bistro.

Once you purchase your ticket, a name tag will be waiting for you when you check-in; your name tag will serve as your ticket for entry into the Cocktail Party.
Purchase parking in advance in Church Street Garage adjacent to Northrop or the Fourth Street Ramp.
If you have not purchased prepaid parking, we recommend parking in:
Cocktail-party casual. Fairly laid back with a little flare! Try a deep color, bold pattern, or glitzy accessory to add a little pizazz to your outfit.
Prior to the event, you will receive a text or email with a registration link for the auction platform, ClickBid. The auction will open online Apr 5. Once registered, browse and bid on a fabulous array of experiences and items. You'll be able to continue your bidding at the event. Please be sure to bring your phone fully charged! The auction will close at 5:00 pm, Apr 13.
If you win any auction items, you will receive a notification on your phone. You can finish the check out process on your phone then pick up your items on level 1 on the east side. There will be signs to guide you. If you do not want to pay using a credit card, you may use another payment method when you pick up your items.
Simply text “encore” to 56651 and follow the prompts to donate. If you would like to donate with another method of payment you can visit the auction check out table to make your donation.
Get your photo taken with artists and dancers from the performance! The photo booth will be in the first floor west Memorial Hall lobby and will be open throughout the party. The photographer will print your photo memento while you wait!
