Be involved in the arts!

Volunteer to be an usher at Northrop performances. Ushers assist the house manager with a variety of activities during performances such as taking tickets, escorting patrons to their seats and other customer services.

Each September, a training session is held for all interested volunteers. These training sessions are required prior to becoming a Northrop volunteer. During these sessions, prospective volunteers are trained in all aspects of ushering performances and providing Northrop patrons with excellent customer service.

Participation in at least four events per semester is required. The time commitment is quite reasonable and you get to select the four events you work each semester. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the arts and about house management in particular.
