Northrop Concerts and Lectures is pleased to be the administrative home of the McKnight Artist Fellowships for Dancers and Choreographers and the McKnight International Fellowship.
The McKnight Artist Fellowships for Dancers and Choreographers annually awards three fellowships of $25,000 each to Minnesota dancers, and three fellowships of $25,000 each to choreographers. McKnight Artist Fellowships deliver significant financial assistance to mid-career individuals whose work demonstrates artistic excellence. A fellowship can help an artist set aside periods of time for study, reflection, experimentation, and exploration; take advantage of an opportunity; or work on a new project.

The McKnight International Fellowship is a new residency, funding one international choreographer each year to collaborate with Twin Cities dance artists and showcase works-in-progress. International fellows are selected by Ben Johnson, Director of Northrop Concerts and Lectures. Applications are not accepted.
McKnight Artist Fellowships are made possible by the generous support of The McKnight Foundation. Support for individual artists has been a cornerstone of the McKnight Foundation's arts program since it began in 1981. The foundation recognizes that the arts cannot flourish or enhance community life without the ideas, energy, and drive of individual artists, and that artists cannot make these contributions without unfettered creative time. Fellowship awards are made in 12 disciplines through 9 arts organizations and presenters. Northrop Concerts and Lectures is the administrative home for fellowships for dancers and for choreographers.
