WAM Collective, in partnership with Northrop Concerts and Lectures

This spring semester, WAM Collective collaborates with student groups and departments across campus for a rousing event in conjunction with the Ballet Preljocaj's Snow White, presented by Northrop Concerts and Lectures on April 13 and 14, 2012. With twenty-six dancers graced by the designs of haute couturier Jean Paul Gaultier and the symphonies of Gustav Mahler, Preljocaj offers a contemporary twist on this timeless narrative.

A special discount of 15% off all advance tickets to Snow White are available by using promo code "WAM" when ordering tickets through ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000, or save on fees when buying in person at the State Theatre Box Office. U of M students also can buy $10 Rush tickets in person starting three hours before the performance.

WAM announces a design competition that explores the inherently dark side of fairy tales. Forget happily ever after. No White focuses on the murder, villainy, deception and passion that underpin these stories. We are looking for a costume design that has crossover appeal.

Deadline for submissions is February 26, 2012.
