Steve is a songwriter steeped in the traditional story-songs of American Folk music and is a finger-style guitarist with an ear for World music influences. His band the Brass Kings play their old-time instruments in unconventional ways. Metal-bodied resophonic guitar, washtub bass, washboard and fiddle chart the Bermuda triangle of
old-time, world and experimental music from jug-band swing to wild improvisational ragas. They are currently touring in support of their latest 12” vinyl release Machine.
