“A renowned physician and author, Deepak Chopra is undoubtedly one of the most lucid and inspired philosophers of our time.” –Mikhail Gorbachev, Citation of the Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic awarded by the Pio Manzu International Scientific Committee

One of Time Magazine's Top 100 most influential people, Deepak Chopra is the author of more than 50 books, cofounder of the Chopra Center, and one of the world’s greatest leaders in mind-body medicine. Join us for a special event and book signing with Chopra for the launch of his latest book, Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul. The book takes readers on a spiritual journey to the highest vision of themselves by undergoing three spiritual and psychological steps: soul shift, subtle action, and core participation.

1. The Soul Shift: You must stop seeing yourself in materialistic terms. You aren't a physical body controlled by genes. You are a soul that expresses itself by creating a body, every minute of every day. The soul is connected to the unlimited intelligence and energy of the universe. By shifting your self image to a soul image, you can reconnect with the universe and its unlimited potential. This first step-shifting your allegiance to the soul-opens up unknown possibilities at every level.

2. Subtle Action: Before the soul creates the physical body, it creates a subtle body entirely out of information and intelligence. This is your ideal self, embodying your spiritual vision of your unlimited potential. The reason we all identify with beauty, truth, immortality, and perfection is that those qualities exist inside us already. Most of us have lost touch with that ideal self, and to heal this rift readers will undertake a program of subtle action, taking them through addiction to craving, to attachment, to intention, to subtle intention, to the ultimate goal: choice-less awareness. In this state you are aligning yourself with your soul, and as each subtle action is felt throughout the mind-body system, the result is physical and mental rejuvenation-for nothing is younger than the higher self, which is eternal.

3. Core Participation: Once you have reconnected to your source, a revolution takes place, and spirit is resurrected in physical life. Each of us is capable of being a resurrected soul-we can realize our highest vision of life-but to do this, we must live by the natural laws of the universe, instead of trying to live in isolation outside them. The very laws that cause the ecosystem to evolve, that hold the biosphere together and safeguard the code of life, are at our disposal for personal growth.

Traffic Construction Updates:

Currently there are no closures or detours affecting our patrons. Periodically visit this page for our most recent updates on road closures and detours in the coming months. These will be necessary to accomodate construction and utility work by three different agencies. The work includes the installation of an electrical duct bank and storm sewer by the University of Minnesota, advanced traffic improvements associated with the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit line, and stabilization of the Mississippi River Bank by the Minneapolis Park Board. Should any closure happen, signs will be posted in advance for a detour.
